The Alexa SMAPI limits the endpoint cookie property included in the discovery response to 5000 bytes. When over that limit, the given endpoint is not discoverable.
This is an issue for
ModeController
orRangeController
capabilities with more than 100 defined supported modes or presets configured especially if part of a group endpoint. Compressing the cookie property provides some additional wiggle room to include more options while adding a maximum hard cap to 150.
